What you and Wisconsin accomplished showed us what we can do. Thank you. Though I do not live in Wisconsin, I turned to Wisconsin for inspiration as my own state struggled with a government that has grown increasingly dysfunctional, driven I think by a combination of apathy and arrogance. You leadership extended well beyond the borders of Wisconsin as many of us looked to you, both a leader and for information about how Democrats could proceed. We still do: you have tremendous influence, perhaps more than you realize. DNC made a mistake when they failed to choose you. You are in that very necessary decompression while you and your family assess your futures. But I, selfishly, hope that you become one the the voices who reach out to all of us, and help us chart the course back to sanity as a nation. Bless you, Ben Wikler, for all you've given us.
Well put, Annie! Effective leadership involves not only vision but also empowering others, which not enough leaders seem to understand. The DNC did make a mistake and are floundering to the chagrin of many of us who have been hoping for support and leadership from the DNC.
